Twisted Visions?

Thank you for finding your way to my weblog! We have come a long way from the film days and one can only imagine what the future brings.

My passion for photography comes from many places. During my childhood, my Mom lugged a Leica around and was constantly metering light on every vacation. My closet is filled with boxes of slide carousels as a result. My growth as an artist developed when I couldn't make every drawing perfect. I tried for years to get the camera to see what my minds eye could see. My interest in math and science has always been evident in my photographs of nature, landscapes, and people. Nothing like a little left brain/right brain conflict to get your artistic juices flowing! I have used cameras since the 3rd grade and am a self-taught photographer. I still have my black and whites from Boy Scouts and field trips to Washington D.C.!

Photography is all about relationships and style. "Twisted Visions" came about after following other photographers around and seeing the world completely different. I feel blessed to be able to capture the inner beauty of people, places, and things that most will walk right past. Portraits are by far my favorite thing to photograph. Meeting someone new, getting to know them, and capturing their inner selves is truly a blast. We have so much fun doing portraits and entering in this lifelong relationship with each other. I'll let my photographs tell the rest of the story! Thanks so much for visiting!!

Sweet Peas

Linda and I had the pleasure of meeting Meg at Claire and Chris’s Wedding at The Farmhouse at Loch Nairn.  Meg and her sister Becca run Sweet Peas of Jennersville, which is a wonderful floral shop in West Grove.  She was delivering beautiful wedding arrangements and running across the parking lot when I captured the image of her below. We have done several weddings together since!  Her arrangements are high class and her personality is as gorgeous as her flowers!

Meg recently gave us a bouquet and a candelabra spread to photograph through the Brandywine Valley.  It was a blast finding unique locations on a snowy day to photograph Meg’s art.  Our resident floral expert Marjorie (Magnolia’s) gives Meg 2 thumbs up for her work!

When you are looking for floral designs for everyday occasions or  special events, please give Meg a call.  You won’t be disappointed!  Enjoy!

Lynne and Mike

Since it’s January we thought a nice warm beach wedding was in order.  Meet Lynne and Mike who had an extraordinary weekend in Rehoboth Beach.  We had a wonderful time and met many new friends.  The weather was perfect in September with hardly a cloud in the sky.  Linda and I captured numerous portraits concentrating on sky, water, and reflections.  The beach ceremony afforded us adequate time to walk around and get some classic shots! We look forward to more portraits in Pittsburgh!!

It was great meeting you and all your friends and family!

Last Call

The Holidays are rapidly approaching and we will be cleaning out our servers to make way for 2010!  Linda has twisted my arm into making all the galleries available until December 15th.  For those procrastinators out there-  LAST CALL. I’ve reloaded most of the events of 2008 and 2009 and will offer a 10% discount before clearing the gallery.  Please visit http://clients.pikthis.com/pickpic/gallery/jump.php and use the discount code “LASTCALL”.  If your gallery is not visible, please email me and I will make it available for you.

December 15th is also the deadline for getting all these wonderful images back before Christmas.  Instead of getting your husband another pair of socks, perhaps he would enjoy a wall mountable stand-out of one of your beautiful photographs?  If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me.  Thank you for looking at my work and for a wonderful year!
