Twisted Visions?

Thank you for finding your way to my weblog! We have come a long way from the film days and one can only imagine what the future brings.

My passion for photography comes from many places. During my childhood, my Mom lugged a Leica around and was constantly metering light on every vacation. My closet is filled with boxes of slide carousels as a result. My growth as an artist developed when I couldn't make every drawing perfect. I tried for years to get the camera to see what my minds eye could see. My interest in math and science has always been evident in my photographs of nature, landscapes, and people. Nothing like a little left brain/right brain conflict to get your artistic juices flowing! I have used cameras since the 3rd grade and am a self-taught photographer. I still have my black and whites from Boy Scouts and field trips to Washington D.C.!

Photography is all about relationships and style. "Twisted Visions" came about after following other photographers around and seeing the world completely different. I feel blessed to be able to capture the inner beauty of people, places, and things that most will walk right past. Portraits are by far my favorite thing to photograph. Meeting someone new, getting to know them, and capturing their inner selves is truly a blast. We have so much fun doing portraits and entering in this lifelong relationship with each other.
